Molly Ticehurst's killer sentenced to 28 years in jail

Billings broke into her Forbes home through a bedroom window just before 11:30pm and stabbed her several times, including to the face and neck. Billings was on bail at the time on charges of sexual assault, stalking and intimidation against Ticehurst.
She had an apprehended domestic violence order against him. Justice Natalie Adams noted in sentencing that Billings was aware Ticehurst had told police she feared he would break through the window.
He chose to do exactly that. Billings pleaded guilty in November last year.
The case prompted changes to NSW domestic violence bail laws.
