Tasmanian village watches both shops hit the market
The two only shops on the main street of Chudleigh, Tasmania, are both on the market at the same time.
Chudleigh is a 200-person village between Deloraine and Mole Creek with just two shops, and both are now for sale. The Melita Honey Farm sells famous leatherwood ice-cream and has a beehive on display.
The previous owner wanted to expand and franchise the business but other projects took priority; it is now listed by offer. The Hearth of Chudleigh is a quirky emporium and cafe in a building dating to 1886 that once served as the town's general store.
Mandy Wyer from Sydney ran it for eight years before health concerns forced her to move back. It is expected to fetch between $765,000 and $855,000.
The business is already attracting plenty of interest from interstate.
