Gold Coast Suns ride five-game streak into top-four Melbourne clash
Gold Coast has won five straight games to sit in the top four and face Melbourne on Saturday night.
The Suns have climbed into the AFLW's top four on the back of five consecutive wins. Gold Coast's 6-2 record is built largely on first-year talent, including Ava Usher, Sunny Lappin and Georja Davies.
Coach Rhyce Shaw says the team shows no signs of fatigue despite the demanding schedule. On Saturday, they travel to Mackay to face Melbourne, which has lost only one game this season.
The Demons have a formidable midfield led by Tyla Hanks, Olivia Purcell and Kate Hore. Gold Coast's own trio of Charlie Rowbottom, Lucy Single and Maddy Brancatisano will carry the team's hopes.
Shaw believes his side can compete with anyone and backed his players to execute their game plan.
