Adelaide coaching director Murray Davis has been approached by Brisbane to interview for its senior coaching job. Davis spent 13 seasons at the Lions, including the 2024 premiership year, before Adelaide hired him.
Brisbane is looking for a replacement for triple premiership coach Chris Fagan. Brisbane plans to meet more than a handful of candidates, rather than promote from within.
Assistant Cameron Bruce is considered the frontrunner for the role. Davis has support inside Brighton Homes Arena and strong relationships with players and staff.
Earlier this year, Davis was one of four shortlisted for the Essendon job, which Mark McVeigh won. Brisbane's selection panel includes Leigh Matthews, Simon Black and Matti Clements.
