Canberra's legendary Halloween house opens for 14th year
Ian and Connie Warburton's Canberra Halloween House opens for its 14th year this weekend with a new winged theme.
The Canberra Halloween House Wanniassa at 26 Osmand Street will open Saturday, October 31 from 4.30pm to 9.30pm, then continue from 4.30pm to 9pm from November 1 to 5. The Warburtons have chosen Things with Wings as this year's theme, featuring demons with wings, crows and flying creatures designed to scare.
The couple sourced one of their most striking displays from the United States and have added a machine that spits fog-filled bubbles. Cerberus, a three-headed dog, sits in a doghouse on the front lawn.
The couple will give away 3000 lolly bags over the week. Entry is by gold coin donation, with all money raised going to the Stella Bella Little Stars Foundation, which supports children in the ACT and surrounding region who are living with serious illnesses.
