Students get free formal wear as Lions Club expands to north Canberra
Operation Formalwear is a Lions Club giveaway of second-hand formal outfits. It is arriving in north Canberra on September 20.
St John Paul II College will host Operation Formalwear on Sunday, September 20. Years 10 and 12 students can get free second-hand formal outfits.
The Lions Club Tuggeranong project expanded to the north. A student told a teacher she could not afford a dress for her formal.
Coffee and barbecue will be served. Private sessions for students with sensory or accessibility needs run October 9.
The main event runs October 10 and 11 in Kambah.
