Adelaide Crows captain Jordan Dawson named an online abuser on social media after receiving a cruel message. This came after Saturday's semi-final loss to Brisbane.
7NEWS found Stuart Rocke at his home in Perth and asked why he sent the message. Rocke apologised, saying "it's disgusting."
Mental health experts praised Dawson for naming the troll. They said calling out online trolls is the only way to stop online abuse.
Dawson's brother Jaryd died by suicide earlier this year. The AFL Players Association released figures showing 66 per cent of AFL players have received online abuse in the past 12 months.
31 per cent of AFLW players were targeted.
