Cam Myers finishes second to Kerr in 1500m at Ultimate Athletics Championship

Australian sprinter Cam Myers ran what he felt was a perfect race at Budapest's inaugural Ultimate Athletics Championship but fell short to British runner Josh Kerr, who clocked 3:29.35. Myers, who won the Diamond League final the week before, ran a tactical race and made his move at the bell but could not catch Kerr down the stretch.
The 20-year-old collected $105,000 for second place. Teammate Jess Hull also took silver in the 5000m with a lifetime best.
Despite the strong performances, Australia left Budapest without a gold medal from the three-day event.
