Frederick reaches 100 AFLW games with father watching for the first time
Collingwood ruckwoman Sabrina Frederick hits her 100th game on Saturday with her father Winston in attendance for the first time.
Sabrina Frederick has played 99 AFLW matches without her dad in the crowd. Frederick moved from England to Western Australia at seven.
Winston stayed behind in England. Winston timed his visits to Australia for the off-season to spend more time with his daughter, always missing her games.
This Saturday, for her 100th match, Winston will finally watch Sabrina play. Frederick's wife organised the surprise arrival on Thursday morning, catching the footballer completely off guard.
The milestone falls during Pride Round, a moment Frederick said feels particularly meaningful given how important the queer community has been to the AFLW's success.
