Same luxury home sets ACT record twice, almost three decades apart
The same Red Hill home set the ACT record twice: in 1996 for $1.75 million, and again on October 19.
The house at 4 Vancouver Street held the territory's highest sale price for nearly 30 years after one family bought it in May 1996. The property sold on October 19 for a price that remains undisclosed, but agents confirmed it was a substantial increase on the previous record of $9 million, set in October 2022 in Deakin.
The home features seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, a pool, tennis court and a separate tennis house. Red Hill homes typically sell for more than $2 million on average.
Agents noted that large, quiet streets with spacious blocks are rare in the area.
