ACA reporter confronts $1.3m fraudster with Gollum photo stunt.
A Current Affair reporter Steve Marshall confronted property fraudster Glenn Stevenson with an unusual tactic. Stevenson had pleaded guilty to a $1.3 million fraud scheme.
Stevenson promised to build underground 'Hobbit homes' for a couple whose NSW house was destroyed in Black Summer bushfires. The scheme collapsed and Stevenson took the victims' money.
During the TV confrontation, Marshall held up a printed photo of Andy Serkis as Gollum from Lord of the Rings. Marshall compared Gollum's traits to Stevenson: betrayal, greed, and spite.
Stevenson remained silent except for calling journalists 'leeches'.
