Parole offender jailed for threatening Albury security guard
Adam Jay Azzi, 52, who stabbed a man to death in 2016, threatened a security guard he'd faced in court.
Adam Jay Azzi, convicted of manslaughter and released on parole in February 2025, confronted a security guard outside a Dean Street nightclub in Albury in October. Azzi tried to skip the queue and, when refused entry, told the guard: "You know who I am, I'll get ya."
The guard was a previous witness against Azzi in court. Albury Local Court dismissed a stalking charge but Azzi pleaded guilty to assault.
Judge Melissa Humphreys sentenced him to six months in prison on October 8. Azzi had also been jailed at Liverpool court on charges of possessing an illegal pistol and resisting police, receiving a 10-month minimum sentence with 15 months maximum.
