Princess Isabella joined Denmark's Guard Hussar Regiment in August and is now well underway with her life as a military officer. The historic move marks the first time a female royal in the Danish family has served in the armed forces.
Queen Mary, Isabella's Australia-born mother, joined King Frederik and her siblings at the regiment's Slagelse base. Isabella was given the military name Fredensborg, honouring a town where she has spent much time.
Her older brother, Crown Prince Christian, also served in the same regiment in 2025.
