Woolworths Dunlop will close for good on Tuesday, September 29. The small Canberra suburb will lose its supermarket.
Colin McLeod has run The Coffee Scroll van from the car park for 11 years. He sells coffee from 6:30am each morning.
He knows every regular by name. The Woolies and bottle shop were the main stores at Dunlop Shops.
They drew foot traffic that McLeod relies on. Without the supermarket's security cameras, his van might face vandalism.
A community petition to save the store reached 1,979 signatures. One retailer toured the site in September.
But they did not pursue a lease. Woolworths said traffic had declined.
Two larger stores are within 5 kilometres in Charnwood and Kippax.
