Pakistan beats Sri Lanka by 82 runs to take 2-0 T20 series lead

Maaz Sadaqat scored 96 and Sahibzada Farhan 73, both helped by dropped catches.

Pakistan scored 3-215 in Rawalpindi on Sunday, their second-highest total in Twenty20 cricket. Sri Lanka dropped Farhan twice and Sadaqat once, and both batters made the most of it.

Maaz Sadaqat scored 96 off 51 balls, hitting seven sixes and six boundaries. Sahibzada Farhan made 73, hitting five sixes and four boundaries.

Pakistan bowler Mohammad Imran took 3-11 in four overs, and Sri Lanka could only reach 7-133. The 82-run win gives Pakistan a 2-0 lead that cannot now be overturned in the three-match series.

Sri Lanka has now lost its third straight T20 series away from home. The third match is in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, and England joins both teams for a three-team one-day series starting next Sunday.
