Englobo fights Gungahlin approval conditions at tribunal
The developer says the conditions would wreck the project, and two other applications are on hold.
Englobo Group has asked the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal to review conditions on its development approval. The project includes hundreds of homes, high-end shops, a hotel and offices in Gungahlin town centre.
The company says the planning decision does not allow it to build the project as designed. Two other development applications are on hold until the appeal is decided.
The ACT Planning Authority required proof the project can work without a proposed intersection upgrade. A government spokesman said the City and Environment Directorate took part in mediation in good faith.
