Four arrested in major drugs and weapons bust near NSW border
NSW police charged four people after seizing cocaine, methamphetamine, six guns and police uniforms.
Police arrested four people during a three-month investigation near the NSW-Queensland border on Thursday. The operation seized cocaine, methamphetamine, six firearms and ammunition.
Two men, aged 29 and 33, were arrested outside a club on Leisure Drive in Banora. Cocaine, methamphetamine, six firearms and ammunition were found in two cars.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on nearby Greenway Drive. Police say he was heading to meet them.
A 32-year-old woman was arrested at a home in Cudgen, about 10 minutes away. Queensland Police sky-blue shirts and a navy dress uniform were seized from one vehicle.
The 29-year-old faces 31 charges, mostly for firearms and drugs. The 33-year-old faces 16 charges.
The younger pair face charges of group criminal activity and handling proceeds from crime.
