Lendlease wins award for War Memorial expansion
Lendlease won Project of the Year for the Anzac Hall expansion at Australia's War Memorial.
The expansion kept the memorial's heritage look while adding significant new space. The main feature is a 130-metre curved concrete wall.
The wall is covered with 3600 pieces of sandstone from the same quarry that supplied the original 1940s building. Judges called it "excellence at a grand scale".
The 2026 Master Builders ACT awards attracted a record 250 entries across 59 categories. A record 236 finalists competed.
Winners were announced at the National Convention Centre in Canberra.
