Victoria struck by seventh earthquake in six days
A 3.2 magnitude earthquake hit Leongatha on Wednesday night, the seventh quake to shake Victoria in less than a week.
The earthquake struck just before 10.20pm, with more than 1,820 people reporting they felt the ground move. The epicentre was near Leongatha in the state's southeast.
One person needed assistance from the SES. Residents described the shaking in varied ways.
A Warragul resident said it felt like the house briefly moved sideways. A Venus Bay resident said the noise was like a train rumbling past or distant thunder followed by shaking.
