Verdict due in Mexico trial of brothers' alleged killers
The trial of three men accused of killing Perth siblings Callum and Jake Robinson nears verdict this week in Mexico.
Callum and Jake Robinson, along with American friend Carter Rhoad, were found dead in a well in Mexico two and a half years ago. Three men stand accused of their murder and aggravated robbery.
Martin and Debra Robinson, the parents, travelled from Western Australia to Ensenada for the trial in September. Closing arguments begin next Thursday, and the judge agreed to deliver his verdict before the parents fly home on October 9.
Prosecutors allege the men were shot over the tyres from their ute. The case has devastated the family; the boys' father previously told the court their deaths left a huge hole in his life.
