Roosters claim rare dual premiership in same year
The Roosters men and women both claimed premierships at Accor Stadium, only the second NRL club to do so in one year.
The Roosters men beat Newcastle for their first premiership since 2019. The women won their third grand final.
Only the second NRL club achieved a dual premiership in the same year; Brisbane did it last year. The Roosters partied at Eastern Suburbs Leagues Club late Sunday night after the wins, then showed up Monday morning at the Sydney Cricket Ground for a fan celebration.

Several stars are leaving the club: Mark Nawaqanitawase and Angus Crichton head to rugby, Daly Cherry-Evans to English Super League, Connor Watson to the Dragons.
