Perth has been drenched by rain overnight with Jandakot recording 11mm, while Gingin Airport hit -5.2C, the coldest temperature across Western Australia.
Rain swept across Perth from midnight, with Jandakot copping the heaviest fall at 11mm. Perth Airport recorded 8.8mm, while Perth and Millendon in the Swan Valley each got 8.4mm.
Gingin Airport plunged to a bitterly cold -5.2C overnight, the lowest minimum temperature in recent WA observations. Strong winds added to the miserable conditions across the metropolitan area.
The wet and chilly weather is expected to ease Thursday, with partly cloudy skies and only a slight chance of early morning showers. Temperatures will lift to a high of 21C, then climb to 24C on Friday before settling at 23C on Saturday and 22C on Sunday.
