Sydney mother faces jail for driving with six times legal alcohol limit
Natasha Jansen, 50, faces jail after crashing her car in Northbridge while blowing more than six times the legal drink-drive limit.
A Sydney magistrate is weighing jail time for Natasha Jansen, 50, who crashed her luxury car in Northbridge on 29 August 2025 with a blood-alcohol reading above six times the legal limit. The crash flipped her vehicle.
By chance, no one was injured or killed. The magistrate made damning comments about how dangerously high her reading was.
Sentencing is set for late November. Court documents revealed Jansen has a history of alcoholism, is unemployed, and has two dependent children.
A year earlier, police found her asleep at the wheel of her Mercedes outside a Northbridge sports complex during school pick-up, blocking traffic. Her breath test showed 0.243, more than five times the legal limit.
Those charges were later dismissed after her lawyer argued a chlorophyll drink she consumed had combined with her reflux condition to skew the reading.
