Legally Blonde star Selma Blair charged over alleged assaults
Blair was charged with two counts of second-degree assault for allegedly kicking a police officer and a nurse.
Actor Selma Blair, who starred in Legally Blonde, was arrested at JFK airport in New York on Sunday. On the Delta flight from Los Angeles, Blair allegedly punched one flight attendant and bit another.
Two flight attendants reported injuries, and one was taken to hospital for further evaluation. A Queens court charged Blair on Monday with two counts of second-degree assault.
The charges say Blair allegedly kicked a police officer on the way to hospital, and a nurse there. A judge set bail at $20,000 cash or $60,000 bond, and the next hearing is in January.
Blair's publicist says the actor had a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct.
