Nine AFL deals still pending as trade deadline approaches
Less than ten players remain undecided before Wednesday's 2pm AEDT AFL deadline.
Clubs have locked in overnight talks to finalise trades on the final day. Essendon wants Coleman from Brisbane but the Lions are asking for pick 17, not pick 27.
Collingwood is chasing Short from Richmond but has been reluctant to offer picks 11 or 30. West Coast is working on deals for both Rivers and Viney from Melbourne, though progress has been slow.
Richmond is strongly placed to grab Port Adelaide's pick 5 with a future first-rounder and pick 22. Melbourne's McLachlan chase continues after the Demons tabled pick 48, but Brisbane wants more value.
North and Adelaide remain at an impasse over Murray, with the Kangaroos' offer of 2027's first pick and pick 33 not enough. All deals must be lodged by Wednesday but won't process until 2pm onwards.
