Fugitive arrested four months after shooting himself with illegal gun
Graham Harris was arrested on 18 September. He had evaded police for four months after an accidental shooting in early May.
Graham Harris was arrested at a Wodonga property on Friday, 18 September after several months on the run. Graham Harris allegedly shot himself in the thigh with an illegal shotgun in early May.
Harris was sent to hospital and had surgery in Albury. Harris had existing warrants for 2025 offences.
These included having an unregistered pistol in public, reckless driving, common assault and stalking. Graham Harris was held in custody after leaving hospital on 8 May.
He allegedly skipped bail on 9 May. Police released his image the following month to help find him.
Harris faced Wodonga Magistrates Court on 21 September. His lawyer raised health concerns.
These included the shotgun wound, a broken collarbone and anxiety, PTSD and depression. Harris was also found with drugs when arrested.
He returns to court on 6 October.
