Beau Lamarre-Condon's voice notes played in double murder trial

Voice notes reveal the accused's state of mind in the hours after the alleged murders.

Beau Lamarre-Condon, 31, is accused of fatally shooting Jesse Baird and Luke Davies, a couple, with his police service weapon in Baird's Paddington home on 19 February 2024. On the night of the alleged murders, he texted a man he had been casually dating and asked how the man's Monday was.

The next morning, Lamarre-Condon sent voice notes saying he had been sick and had an operation scheduled. He said he was trying to get back into a positive mindset.

Lamarre-Condon mentioned the Taylor Swift concert that night and said he was removing his social media for his mental health. His defence claims Baird and Davies were accidentally shot in separate struggles.

Lamarre-Condon panicked and cleaned up, his defence says.
