South co-president Bill Papastergiadis said the club is ready to join the A-League if permitted. South have doubled their playing budget and sponsorship in the past year.
South have previously been passed over for Melbourne Heart and then Western United. The historic NSL powerhouse believe they have proven their credentials through strong supporter engagement and professional licensing.
