Michael Douglas has revealed in his new memoir that he was dating five different women around the time he met Catherine Zeta-Jones. When Zeta-Jones told him she wanted exclusivity, Douglas agreed but had to make a phone call first.
'I told her wait here I have to make five quick calls,' he recalled. Douglas phoned each woman to say he had met someone and could no longer see them.
All five took the news well. Douglas had recently separated from his first wife in 1995 and lived in different cities from each woman, which he felt was respectful.
Zeta-Jones and Douglas married in 2000 and have been together almost 26 years.
