Heathcote adds Zimmerman as seventh recruit for 2027 premiership push
Midfielder Anthony Zimmerman joins Heathcote from South Bendigo as the club's seventh recruit for the 2027 season.
Heathcote is building for 2027 by signing Anthony Zimmerman from South Bendigo. Zimmerman played four VFL games for Collingwood and 48 games at South Bendigo over three seasons.
This year he averaged 16 disposals per game. Coach Andrew Saladino said Bendigo coaches rate him highly.
Zimmerman is friends with Jack Dilks, who runs Heathcote's forward line, so he knew the club already. The signing follows earlier additions from Hurstbridge and replaces the loss of 2023 Cheatley Medal winner Liam Jacques to Lake Boga.
Heathcote finished fifth this year after losing in the elimination final.
