Ram 2500 Warlock brings back V8 engine after almost two-year gap
Ram reintroduces a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 to its 2500 lineup for the first time in over a decade, priced from $157,950.
Ram Trucks Australia has brought back petrol V8 power in the 2500 Warlock after almost two years without a Hemi option in the Australian market. The 6.4-litre V8 engine marks the first petrol eight-cylinder in the larger Ram 2500 since 2014, more than a decade ago.
Ram Trucks Australia boss Jeff Barber says the return reflects strong local demand for V8s and the growing market for heavy-duty pickups. The Warlock is priced $2000 below the top Ram 1500 six-cylinder, giving buyers a choice between a well-equipped smaller truck or an entry-level 2500 with a V8.
The Silverado HD remains the only other full-size V8 pickup available locally.
