Tiny Tins grew from 2 trucks to 11 while raising more than $600,000 for Illawarra Convoy.
When Karlie Zec and Adrian Lamacchia took over Tiny Tins eleven years ago, the company had just two trucks. Today it runs eleven trucks and more than 600 skip bins across the Illawarra.
The business has become one of the region's most recognizable. Zec said she thrives off the work, combining long hours in operations with fundraising in her downtime.
Tiny Tins has raised more than $600,000 for Illawarra Convoy and won the lead truck auction in 2024 with Illawarra Crane Trucks. The company was named Waste & Recycling Business of the Year at the Australian Freight Industry Awards.
Zec credits their success to personal customer service and remembering clients' names and details about why they needed a skip.
