NSW Liberal leader concedes Hunter seats are unwinnable next election
Kellie Sloane admits she does not imagine the Liberals winning Hunter at the next NSW election.
NSW Liberal leader Kellie Sloane told ABC Radio Newcastle on Tuesday she has no real prospect of winning Hunter seats. Kellie Sloane has not yet visited Newcastle on official business since becoming party leader.
Sloane has travelled through the Upper Hunter region though. Sloane ruled out making preference deals with One Nation.
She said the party does not have a strategy for Cessnock but acknowledged Clayton Barr is a strong Labor member there. Sloane said voters wanting change from Labor must still vote Liberal or Nationals, not One Nation.
One Nation holds zero Parliament seats at the moment.
