Zeekr Australia still waiting as 7X gets bigger battery in China
The 2027 Zeekr 7X will get an 85kWh battery in China from October to December 2026, but Australia's timing remains unconfirmed.
The Chinese government has confirmed the Zeekr 7X will receive a new 85kWh 'Golden Brick' battery pack later this year. The updated model arrives in China from October to December 2026.
The motor stays at 370kW. The new battery uses lithium-iron-phosphate chemistry and is designed to last up to one million kilometres.
Zeekr Australia has not yet confirmed when or if this upgrade will reach local models. The entry-level 7X sold here currently uses a smaller 75kWh battery and 310kW motor, giving up to 480km of range.
Australian buyers can also order a 100kWh variant. The company, owned by Geely, could skip this update cycle when the 7X is eventually refreshed locally.
