The cancellation came as the tour faced controversy after Robert Kraft, the Patriots owner, said he would bar Macklemore from performing. Kraft cited Macklemore's onstage support for Palestine and alleged antisemitic rhetoric.
Macklemore claimed Kraft bullied other stadium owners into banning him too. Multiple other festivals also cancelled: Oceans Calling in Maryland, Global Citizen Festival in New York's Central Park (first cancellation in 14 years), and All Things Go Festival in Forest Hills, New York.
