Taylor Swift becomes most decorated MTV VMAs winner in history
Swift won Video of the Year and the inaugural Artist Directors Honours award, breaking the record for most VMA wins.
Taylor Swift claimed the top award of the night, Video of the Year, for her song "The Fate of Ophelia". Taylor Swift also accepted the inaugural Artist Directors Honours award, a new accolade that pushed her past all previous VMA winners in total awards.
Swift beat out a stacked category with nominees including Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Gener8ion, Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter. On stage, she thanked her fans for voting for her and dedicated the award to Dolly Parton, calling her "the ultimate showgirl".
She praised just the choreography on her winning video and expressed pride in the work.
