Brisbane Roar signs Europe-trained players to spark championship revival
Brisbane Roar has recruited Virgiliu Postolachi and Tyrese Francois to end four years without finals.
Brisbane Roar have brought in Europe-trained recruits to restore championship status. The club has missed the finals since 2020-21.
Striker Virgiliu Postolachi, 26, developed at Paris Saint-Germain from age 13. He joins from Romania.
Midfielder Tyrese Francois is a former Fulham academy product. The club also signed South Korea veteran Nam Tae-hee, four-time Socceroos defender Joel King, and skipper Tom Aldred.
Coach Michael Valkanis says the signings bring players comfortable on the ball. This allows them to dominate possession and create chances.
Postolachi says he loves Brisbane's mentality and wants the club to be Australia's top team. Francois said he needed a reset after a difficult two years in Europe.
