Multiple AFL players hospitalized after recreational drug complications
At least three Melbourne AFL players were hospitalized after recreational drug use at a house party on Saturday night.
A Melbourne AFL team faced an emergency in the early hours of Sunday morning. Players Will Hayward and Lachie Cowan required hospitalization after complications during a party at Hayward's home in South Yarra.
Police and ambulance crews attended the scene. Cowan suffered a seizure and required emergency treatment at Alfred Hospital.
Hayward sustained a cut to his head after a fall and also attended hospital for stitches. Both players were discharged following treatment.
The club has confirmed the pair were together on Saturday night.
