Kyle Sandilands says he believes Jackie O's PTSD claim

Sandilands believes Jackie O suffered PTSD from their time working together, though he finds it hard to grasp.

Kyle Sandilands opened up on Samantha Armytage's interview show about learning that Jackie O Henderson had claimed post-traumatic stress disorder from their years on air together. A psychiatrist's affidavit, made public in August, stated Henderson suffered PTSD as a result of working alongside him and the radio station's failure to protect her.

Sandilands said it was hard to comprehend. "It's so hard to comprehend when that's not your experience at all," he said.

But he chose to believe her account. "She's not someone who makes up stories," he added.

Sandilands acknowledged people could have vastly different experiences in the same room. When he first heard the PTSD claim on his show, he broke down.

"It's soul-destroying," he said at the time. The Kyle and Jackie O Show ended in March after an on-air row over astrology.

ARN then cancelled the pair's $200 million contract just one year in.
