Ringo Starr believes Beatles would have reunited if other members lived
The 86-year-old drummer says the band would have reformed if John Lennon and George Harrison had survived.
Ringo Starr believes The Beatles would have reunited if Lennon and Harrison had lived. Lennon was shot dead in 1980 at age 40, and Harrison died of cancer in 2001 at 58.
The 86-year-old drummer told Page Six he still speaks to Paul McCartney, 84, a couple of times a month when they meet for dinner. What Starr missed most was the friendship and togetherness the four shared during their rise from Liverpool clubs to becoming the world's biggest band.
He compared it to having three brothers, with the ups and downs but also a unique bond. Director Sam Mendes is making four separate films about the band, each telling the story from one member's perspective, due in 2028.
