Jetour's T1 and T2 SUVs cleared for Australian roads in early 2027
Jetour's T1 and T2 mid-size SUVs have received design certification ahead of early 2027 release.
The Chinese brand Jetour is bringing two mid-size SUVs to Australia next year, both cleared for local roads. The T1 has a sleeker design, while the T2 is boxier, shaped like a Land Rover Defender.
The T1 will come with a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine or plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions offering 255kW to 430kW of power depending on the drivetrain. The T2 is PHEV-only, with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with three electric motors delivering up to 445kW.
The T1 measures about 4.7 metres long and the T2 about 4.8 metres long, designed to compete directly with established mid-size rivals. Jetour is part of China's Chery Group but will operate separately in Australia, with a local management team.
