Woman charged with manslaughter in Bega road-rage death
A 41-year-old woman has been charged with manslaughter after allegedly reversing her SUV into 73-year-old Trevor Gordon Fleet following a roadside argument.
Police allege the woman reversed into Mr Fleet with a silver Holden SUV after a face-to-face argument on Newtown Road near Bega on August 31. Mr Fleet was treated at the scene and taken to hospital in serious condition, where he later died.
Police said they believed the meeting between the two was not planned. The woman was arrested Wednesday morning just hours before Mr Fleet's funeral.
Officers seized the car and other evidence. She faces bail court today and remains in custody.
