Jeremy Strong stays in character as Zuckerberg, even off-set
Strong remained in character throughout filming, treating co-stars the way he imagined Mark Zuckerberg would.
Jeremy Strong plays Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Reckoning, Aaron Sorkin's follow-up to The Social Network. The new film focuses on the 2021 Facebook leaks where whistleblower Frances Haughen exposed the company's knowledge of harmful effects on children's mental health.
Strong is known for method acting, staying in character even between takes. Sorkin told The New York Times that Strong didn't speak in his own voice on set or walk normally.
Sorkin told other actors that Strong would not join them at lunch or speak to them. Instead, he would treat them as he imagined Zuckerberg would.
Strong learned method acting while working with actor Daniel Day-Lewis.
