Myrtleford ruckman Riley Smith is one of the favourites for the Morris Medal, the league's most prestigious individual award. The 200-centimetre player joined the Saints last season from Western Australian football after playing in a WAFL grand final.
Smith has impressed coaches with his dominance around the contest and improved forward craft. If he wins, he will become only the third ruckman in 30 years to claim the award after Albury's Leigh Newton (1996) and Wodonga's Matt Seiter (2016).
