Knee injury ends Hillier's playing season, launches coaching role
Skye Hillier has taken an A-grade netball coaching role at Chiltern. Two knee reconstructions stopped her from playing.
Skye Hillier has been named A-grade netball coach for the Swans in the Tallangatta and District League for 2027, replacing Georgia Thomas, who led the club to two premierships and three grand finals in three years.
Hillier joined the club as a player in 2025 and was part of the club's premiership that season. She previously coached Albury Tigers in the Ovens and Murray League in 2024.
A serious knee injury early this season required full ACL and MCL reconstructions, ending her time as a player for now. She is taking recovery day by day and is not setting a date for her return to court.
Hillier is happy to coach from the sidelines and is excited about helping the club's young talent grow, particularly young players from the 15s and 17s age groups who reached recent grand finals.
