AFL competition boss Laura Kane said the league does not want to see this outcome but won't rule out assistance packages to help rebuild. Clubs can apply for support similar to packages given to Collingwood and Gold Coast last year, which came in the form of extra list spots.
No winless club has applied for help yet. Kane stressed the focus is on developing player talent within these teams' programs, not just adding more players.
