Hawks aim for King and Merrett with four midrange picks
Hawthorn has picks 15, 25, 26 and 33 to pursue their targets as the trade period opens Friday.
The Hawks enter the trade window from Friday and the trade period proper from October 5 with ammunition to chase Ben King and Zach Merrett. Hawthorn holds pick 15 plus three second-round picks at 25, 26 and 33, courtesy of trades they completed last year.
Melbourne is the only club with two top-10 picks after trading Christian Petracca to Gold Coast. King is likely to arrive as a free agent, which would see the Suns hand them pick 7.
The Hawks also control their first and second-round picks in 2027 and 2028 for future deals. The trade deadline falls on October 14.
