Tamika Rourke, 20, won the 2026 Hume Netball Association league medal in her first A-grade season with Brock-Burrum Saints.
Tamika Rourke has won the Hume Netball Association league medal after just one A-grade season with Brock-Burrum Saints. The 20-year-old defender polled 36 votes for the award and said she was shocked by the recognition.
Before netball, Rourke played basketball and football. She pursued an AFLW career but missed selection in 2024 and took 2025 off.
She returned to play football for Lavi Panthers this year, helping them win the North East Border Women's premiership. Rourke credits her competitive drive to growing up with two older brothers and a twin, competing constantly in backyard sports.
