Djokovic is oldest Paris Masters winner after Vacherot comeback
Djokovic, 39, beat Vacherot 6-7, 7-5, 6-1 from a set down, setting a Paris Masters age record.
Down a set and facing three break points late in the second, Djokovic saved his way back to beat Vacherot and claim a record. At 39, he is now the oldest player ever to win a match at the Paris Masters.
Next up is in-form Sydney-based Rinky Hijikata, who has won three straight without dropping a set. Should both men keep winning, a third-round clash with fellow Australian Alex de Minaur could decide their ATP Finals qualification hopes.
De Minaur is currently ninth in the race; Djokovic sits tenth.

Why it mattersDjokovic proved his age is no barrier to beating world-class opponents; for de Minaur, the path to the season-ending ATP Finals just got crowded.
AustraliaTwo Australians, Hijikata and de Minaur, now face a high-stakes draw where Djokovic's win has made reaching the ATP Finals significantly harder.
