18-year-old stabbed six times in reserve brawl sparked by online dispute
An 18-year-old was kicked, stomped and stabbed six times at Robert Bruce Reserve following an online dispute between two groups.
The woman was set upon at Deer Park on Wednesday night around 7:15pm after two groups met at the reserve to settle a dispute that started online. Police say she was kicked in the head while on all fours, then stabbed multiple times.
The 18-year-old suffered six stab wounds to her upper body and was taken to hospital in stable condition. A 20-year-old woman was also assaulted but did not need hospital treatment.
Three knives have been seized and are being tested. Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
